Matt McCormick
Modenrica had the pleasure of working with Matt McCormick to create a unique upholstered rocking chair featuring inspired by two chairs from Matt's childhood. Both were released in the 1950s and attributed to Wild Bill Hickok and Roy Rogers. The upholstered chair was released in limited quantities for Beyond The Streets Art Festival December 2020.

Hysteric Glamour
Modernica had the pleasure of working with Hysteric Glamour for Holiday 2020. Hysteric Glamour is a Japanese fashion brand created by Tokyo native Nobuhiko Kitamura in 1984. The renowned clothing brand is known for its Americana influence taking cues from western style, music, and more. The collection includes furniture pieces such as Side Shell Chairs, a Daybed and an Aiko Side Table adorned with Hysteric’s iconic motifs. The capsule also includes complimenting apparel pieces with cobranded insignias. This collaboration was released exclusively online and select Hysteric retail stores.

Modernica teamed up with Hidden NY to make a small run of custom Case Study® Ceramics. Featuring Hidden NY custom graphics Modernica uses a their signature Table Top Ceramic for this project. Released as an edition of 100 on Hidden NY website for Fall 2020.

Modernica is honored to partner with Pantone™ for a limited edition Side Shell Eiffel & Stacking Chairs. In 2021, Pantone chose 2 Colors of the Year, 13-0647 Illuminating & 17-5104 Ultimate Gray. CLOT continues to pay homage to its signature Silk Royale print, this time with the iconic Fiberglass Side Shell Eiffel chair with Modernica. The limited edition product features an embedded fiberglass shell with a vivid and distinct all-over Silk Royale pattern against a rich blue background. The chair is finished with a co-branded plaque placed on the bottom of the seat and is paired with a chrome Eiffel base. The CLOT x Modernica Fiberglass Chair was available on JUICESTORE.COM for Pre-Order and available for viewing and purchase at JUICE LA during November 2019.

Modernica had the honor to collaborate with Chicago-based visual artist Louis De Guzman and global music artist J Balvin celebrating SpongeBob SquarePants 20th anniversary. The full collection consisted of Fiberglass Chairs, Upholstered Chairs & custom printed Daybed all featuring the iconic character with Louis distinct artwork. Felipe Pantone's Ultradynamic Elementa features designs based on a display of many well-known elements Felipe features in his studio work. The designs are placed in a rested yet rhythmic composition all over the chair creating a dynamic and irregular pattern of color and lines, a comfortable and familiar aesthetic of Felipe Pantone. The limited edition chair of 100 includes a co-branded plaque placed on the bottom of the seat and is paired with a chrome Eiffel base. Jean-Michel Basquiat
Introducing the Jean-Michel Basquiat Case Study® chair by Modernica. The Fiberglass Shell Chairs were originally designed in 1948 as an entry in The Museum of Modern Art’s International Design Competition, and are easily one of the most important and recognizable designs of the twentieth century.
