Returns or Exchanges
Online Return Policy
The online return policy is exclusive to orders placed at modernica.net and does not apply to orders placed with our showroom or any other retailer. If you have received an item that has been damaged, please notify us immediately. Please note all sales are final on Sale / Clearance items as noted on each product page as well as our warrantee policy. We will work with you to arrange a return, replacement, refund or credit. Damaged items must be reported within 5 days of receipt to websupport@modernica.net. Modernica’s return and replacement policies are void if damage is not reported within 5 days from receipt of goods. We will contact you with follow up instructions and may require you to provide photos for further assessment or to file a claim.
All International orders are responsible for the transit cost back to us including any duty and taxes are the implemented by the returning countries policy. All international exchanges or returns will be handled on a case by case scenario.
Furniture is highly susceptible to damage in transit. We take care to pack shipments so that they will arrive safely; be certain to retain the original packing materials for any item that you wish to return to us. You may have to provide supplementary packing materials if the outer carton has been worn during the original trip out to you, or if the packing materials have been discarded.
If you would like to return something, please contact websupport@modernica.net for approval. We will contact you with instructions. A full refund, less shipping charges and return shipping costs, will be issued if the product(s) are returned in their original condition, in the original box, with all the original packing material and within 30 days.
In circumstances when an item is approved for a return after 30 days, a 25% re-stocking fee will be charged.
Modernica’s return policy does not apply to Lief mattress purchases and to custom orders, both are considered to be non-refundable items. Custom orders are not available for cancellation. All sales are final on Sale / Clearance items as noted on each product page as well as our warrantee policy.

If you would like to exchange please contact websupport@modernica.net for approval. An exchange will be issued if the product(s) are returned to us in their original condition, in the original box, with all the original packing material and within 30 days.

We strongly recommend using a return service that includes tracking and insurance as Modernica cannot be liable for items lost or damaged in transit back to our facility. If you are exchanging for an item which you paid shipping on, your original shipping fees will not be refunded, nor for the transit cost accrued in returning the original purchase to Modernica. . If the requested exchange item has shipping fees, you will be responsible for those as well.
