Our five acre campus houses world-class upholstery, wood, and composites shops, where a collective of skilled craftspeople meticulously brings every design to life.

FIBERGLASS
Modernica proudly stands as the guardian of a storied legacy, revitalizing the nearly lost art of high-pressure fiberglass molding. Our Los Angeles factory is home to the historic fiberglass presses and specialized machinery that have been integral to crafting these iconic fiberglass chairs for approximately 75 years.
Since 1999, Modernica has remained steadfast in preserving the original methods of fiberglass chair production, as taught to us by composites pioneer and inventor Sol Fingerhut. By adhering to these time-honored techniques, we ensure that each chair embodies the authenticity, durability, and design ingenuity that have made fiberglass furniture a cornerstone of modern design history.
Our process combines the precision of high-pressure molding with hand-applied craftsmanship, ensuring every piece reflects the artistry and innovation that define our brand.
