Orders placed through modernica.net are processed within 24 hours of receipt, or on the following Monday if placed over a weekend. During holidays, orders are processed the following open business day. Processing during sale or promotional periods may take longer due to high volume. Once processed, our customer service team will email a confirmation with an estimated ship date.

We offer several delivery tiers to suit your needs:
- Curbside Delivery - Items delivered to the curb of your residence or business. Does not include assembly or unpacking.
- Inside Delivery - Items placed just inside your front door (or lobby for high-rise buildings).
- White Glove Service -Delivery to a room of your choice, including unpacking and removal of all packing materials. Required for select products.
Delivery typically takes 1–2 weeks after shipping. White Glove and Inside delivery are available for an upcharge.

Modernica currently ships within the 48 contiguous states. Orders to states outside this area (e.g., Alaska, Hawaii) may be subject to additional charges due to inflated shipping rates. For international orders, we ship Fiberglass Chairs & Bases to Canada only, processed via FedEx. Canadian orders do not include duty, taxes, or VAT charges- those are the buyer's responsibility.
Can I waive the signature requirement for FedEx deliveries?
Can I waive the signature requirement for FedEx deliveries?
Yes, for FedEx shipments, you may opt out of the signature requirement at the time of order placement only. This option cannot be changed after your order has shipped. Please note: Modernica is not liable for damage or loss in transit once the signature requirement has been waived. The requirement cannot be waived for freight or local delivery shipments.

Once your order is processed, you'll receive an email confirmation with an estimated ship date. For status updates, contact our customer service team at websupport@modernica.net or via our Live Chat. Please note that estimated ship dates are approximate and orders may ship before or after the stated date based on product availability.

Shipping rates can fluctuate. In the rare event that your rate changes after ordering, our customer service team will contact you as soon as possible with updated information.

Modernica accepts returns within 30 days of receipt, provided items are in their original condition, in the original box, with all original packing materials. Return and replacement policies are void if damage is not reported within 5 days of receiving your goods. We strongly recommend retaining all original packaging materials for any item you may wish to return.

To request an exchange, email websupport@modernica.net for approval before sending anything back. Exchanges are granted when items are returned in original condition, in the original packaging, within 30 days. If the exchanged item carries a shipping fee, you will be responsible for that cost. Original shipping fees are non-refundable.

Inspect your delivery immediately upon receipt. If damage is present, note it with the shipper at the time of delivery and report it to Modernica right away. Damage must be reported within 5 days of receipt- claims reported after this window are not eligible for return or replacement. We may ask for photos to assess the damage or file a carrier claim.

Customers are responsible for return transit costs. We strongly recommend using a tracked and insured return service. Modernica cannot be liable for items lost or damaged while in transit back to our facility. For international returns (Canada), the customer is also responsible for any applicable duties and taxes.

Modernica is responsible for revitalizing the nearly lost art of high-pressure fiberglass molding. Our LA factory houses the historic presses and specialized machinery that have been integral to crafting iconic fiberglass chairs for approximately 75 years. Since 1999, we have preserved the original methods taught to us by composites pioneer Sol Fingerhut, combining precision molding with hand-applied craftsmanship to ensure authenticity, durability, and design integrity in every piece.

Our pieces are built to last generations with proper care. For upholstered items, spot clean with a damp cloth and mild soap; avoid harsh chemicals. Fiberglass shells can be wiped with a soft damp cloth. For wood components, use a dry or lightly damp cloth and avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or moisture.
