Solid redwood, naturally.
Solid redwood slats, individually spaced to give the bench its open, airy rhythm while standing up to the demands of the outdoors. Left to weather naturally or maintained with oil, redwood develops a richness over time that no other wood quite matches.
Cast concrete supports.
The legs are cast from concrete, a material chosen for its permanence and its weight. Resistant to the elements by nature, each block takes approximately 24 hours to produce, a process as unhurried as the bench itself.

Our solid wood pieces are offered in maple, walnut, sapele, redwood, acacia, or teak, with the selection specific to each design. Maple and walnut carry a classic, even grain, suited to indoor use, while sapele, redwood, acacia, and teak each bring their own character and weather resistance, suited to outdoor use. Every piece is FSC-certified and built by hand in our Los Angeles factory, to one standard of craftsmanship.
