Early edition vintage Djinn two-seater sofa designed by Olivier Mourgue in 1965 for Airborne. Metal frame lined with all new foam and covered in Knoll "Stretch Appeal" Cobalt, an upgrade to the standard Kvadrat fabric. Meticiously restored to include a cobalt blue zipper.
The Djinn sofa whose shape was said to inspired by the genies of Arabian culture that can adopt any form, human or animal, is considered to be a masterpiece of Space Age design. This sofa is an icon of 20th century design made famous by director Stanley Kubrick in "2001, A Space Odyssey".
