Welcome To My World 2020 Art Show

Every year since 2017, Modernica has presented the Welcome To My World Art Show, celebrating the work of artists on the autism spectrum. Our 4th annual show, scheduled for April 5, 2020, was postponed due to the pandemic.  During the Spring and Summer, while our showroom on Beverly was closed, Modernica co-founder Jay Novak and show curator Jenny Novak spent their afternoons there hanging the show, knowing that at some point, the city would open up again and people would be able to enjoy the art.  That time has come!  Of course, we cannot have our usual big opening party with coffee and treats.  But we can offer you a few different ways to see the art.
#1 — Virtually! From the safety and comfort of your own home, enjoy this quick video tour of the entire show. For an interview with returning artist Noah Schneider, watch this interview below, or check out Instagram @welcometomyworldartshow, Facebook page Welcome To My World, or visit welcometomyworldartshow.com for more images and information.

#2 — Come to the showroom, 7366 Beverly Blvd, LA 90036 during regular business hours (Mon-Sat 10-6, Sun 11-5) for a self tour.  If you are interested in buying something, contact Jenny Novak at w2mworldart@gmail.com.  She will give you the options for paying the artists directly.

#3— Come to the showroom during our “Attended Gallery Hours,” every Sunday in August (the 9th, 16th, 23rd and 30th) from 12 noon to 4pm. Jenny will give you a tour and answer questions.  Masks and social distancing are required.  Please email Jenny at w2mworldart@gmail.com with a date and a window of time you’d like to visit so she can make sure everyone has enough space to be safe.  You can drop in, but you may need to wait outside if too many art lovers show up at once!
