Iconic Skateboard Brand Chocolate and Modernica Curate Fiberglass Chair and Ceramic Duo

Modernica and Chocolate Skateboards have announced a limited collaborative collection: a Case Study Furniture Fiberglass Chair and Case Study Ceramics Desktop Cylinder featuring original artwork by Colorado-based artist and Chocolate art director Evan Hecox, titled “Bikes” (2007).

Evan Hecox is a Colorado-based artist fascinated by the complexity of seemingly mundane urban environments: cityscapes, individual city sites, and isolated urban elements.

Chocolate Skateboards was founded in 1994 alongside Girl Skateboards. With a team of inner-city street skaters and graphics driven by art and design, Chocolate was set to be the funkier style-master to its slick, clean counterpart. For 25 years, Chocolate’s look has held consistent under the eye of its first resident artist, Evan Hecox.

The collection was featured at Bodega’s Downtown Los Angeles pop-up shop on Saturday, October 12, launching the release of the series. All products are now available for purchase at Fine Skate Shops worldwide and the Crailstore.com
