A Visit To Armani / Silos Milan

Last month, we visited Armani/Silos in Milan, a fashion art museum dedicated to the Armani style. The four-story building was constructed in 1950 and was used to store food by a multinational company, it was renovated and opened in 2015 as part of the Armani brand 40th anniversary celebration. During our visit, we explored the different galleries, filled with Armani's work throughout the years, including sketches and articles of clothing.

Giorgio Armani has also opened the space to highlight Pritzker Prize winner and friend, Tadao Ando. With a shared aesthetic philosophy, an appreciation for quality in materials and simplicity in expression, the exhibition titled, "The Challenge", is a retrospect of Ando's work. A series of rooms, showcasing blueprints, sketches, and scale models from Ando's beginnings through to his current projects. The exhibition runs through July 28th, 2019.
