Modernica がデザインした Case Study® Furniture Alpine® Bench は、曲げ木テニス ラケットや木製スキー板などのビンテージ スポーツ用品の職人技からインスピレーションを受けています。北米産のウォールナットまたはアッシュの突き板で作られた外装が特徴で、複数層の北米産ハードロックメープルの強度によって支えられています。すっきりとしたライン、官能的な曲線、ダイナミックな構造がこのユニークなデザインを際立たせています。

Molded plywood.
Machine molded under pressure and finished by hand, the layered maple ply combines the precision of manufacturing with the kind of craft that only comes from human hands. The exterior is finished in North American walnut veneer, its grain wrapping the sculpted form without seam or interruption.
Available in two lengths.
The Alpine Bench is offered in 4ft and 8ft lengths, equally at home at the foot of a bed or along the length of a table. Both share the same construction and finish, the form extending without losing its proportion.

Our wood veneer pieces are available in three options, maple, walnut, or rosewood, with the selection specific to each design. Each veneer carries its own distinct surface, from maple’s lightness to walnut’s warmth to rosewood’s deep red tones. Every piece is FSC-certified and built by hand in our Los Angeles factory, to one standard of craftsmanship.
