Restoration Spotlight:
The Hassrick Residence by Richard Neutra

The new homeowners set out to restore the home the right way.

When John Houser and George Acosta bought the Hassrick Residence by Richard Neutra, it had been neglected for decades. With doors and windows left unlocked, both the interiors and exteriors were left to the mercy of the elements, and deterioration had set in hard.

Despite the daunting project, the new homeowners set out to restore the home the right way, digging up original blueprints, photos, and written communication between Neutra and the original owners. Every detail was considered along the way, and the final result reflects their conscientiousness. The photos above reveal the outcome of this beautiful project. The Hassrick House is now on the market for $2.2Million.
