Privacy Policy

Modernica is committed to respecting your privacy. We use the information we collect to process orders and to provide a more personalized experience. We do not rent, sell or exchange information about our website visitors.

Warranty Policy

Modernica provides a limited one-year warranty to the original purchaser of all Modernica furniture that the furniture is free from defects in material and workmanship as noted. This warranty does not apply to purchasers of as-is or distressed products or display samples. Color and finish variations are natural in wood and are not covered by this warranty. This warranty applies under conditions of normal use but does not apply to fading (furniture should not be placed in direct sunlight) or defects that result from negligence, soiling, improper cleaning, misuse, abnormal use or accident. For fabrics on our furniture, this warranty does not apply to piling, cleaning, shrinkage, wrinkling, wear, dye-lot variance, damage or failure due to chemical treatment other than by the fabric manufacturer’s recommendations, or damage caused by pets.

Modernica will, for one year following the date of the original purchase, at Modernica's option and its sole discretion, repair or replace, or provide a substitute for, any piece or part found by Modernica to be defective in material or workmanship.

Any costs for packing and shipping are not covered under this warranty. To obtain proper service under this warranty, the original purchase receipt must be kept.

Online Return Policy

The online return policy is exclusive to orders placed online and does not apply to orders placed in our showroom.

All orders ship with a signature requirement. If you are unable to provide a signature, please contact websupport@modernica.net prior to shipment. Modernica is not liable for anything lost or damaged in transit when the signature requirement has been waived prior to shipment.

All products should be inspected prior to signing a delivery confirmation. Customers are responsible for inspecting all items prior to signing for delivery. Any items signed for in good condition cannot be returned. If it is not possible to inspect your furniture upon delivery, please contact websupport@modernica.net .

In the event that you have received an item that has been damaged, please notify us immediately. We will work with you to arrange a return, replacement, refund or credit. Damaged items must be reported within 7 days of receipt. All damages should be reported to websupport@modernica.net. We will contact you with instructions and have you fill out a return authorization form.

Please be aware that furniture is highly susceptible to damage during transit. We take great care to pack shipments so that they will arrive safely, so be certain to retain the original packing materials, original receipt and all merchandise tags for any item that you wish to return to us. You may have to provide supplementary packing materials if the outer carton has been worn during the original trip out to you.

If you would like to return something for a reason other than damage, please contact websupport@modernica.net for approval. We will contact you with instructions and have you fill out a return authorization form. A full refund (less shipping charges) will be issued if the product(s) are returned to us in their original condition, in the original box, with all the original packing material and within 30 days.

In circumstances when an item is approved for a return after 30 days, a 25% re-stocking fee will be charged.

Modernica's return policy does not apply to Lief mattress purchases and to Custom orders, both are considered to be non-refundable items. Custom orders are not available for cancellation.

Online Exchange Policy

The online exchange policy is exclusive to orders placed online and does not apply to orders placed in our showroom or any of our 3rd party retailers.

If you would like to exchange something for a reason other than damage, please contact websupport@modernica.net for approval. An exchange will be issued if the product(s) are returned to us in their original condition, in the original box, with all the original packing material and within 30 days.

Modernica is not responsible for the transit cost accrued in returning the original purchase to Modernica. We strongly recommend using a return service that includes tracking and insurance as Modernica can not be liable for items lost or damaged in transit back to our facility.

If you are exchanging for an item which you paid for shipping on, your shipping fees will not be refunded. Additionally, if the requested exchage item has shipping fees, you will be responsible for those as well.

Order Process

Orders placed through our online store are processed within 24 hours of receipt or on the following Monday if placed over a weekend. During holidays, orders are processed the following open business day.

Upon receipt of your order, our fulfillment department will confirm your receipt and email a confirmation which includes an estimated ship date. This estimated ship date is only an estimated timeframe for shipping. Fulfillment of orders is based on product availability. Orders are subject to ship before or after estimated ship date. In the event of unforeseeable production delays, we will keep you updated on the status of your order. Shipping and Will Call

Modernica utilizes a number of companies for shipment, depending on the product(s) that are ordered. Our shipping methods include UPS Ground and Ceva standard for curbside delivery. Some of our products also require white glove service where noted. Shipping delivery time varies, but can take anywhere between 1 - 2 weeks. 

Those living in or near Los Angeles will qualify for Local Delivery rates. We will contact you to make delivery arrangements once your order completes production. Will Call is also welcomed. The address and hours for Will Call are: 2901 Saco Street, Vernon, Ca 90058. Monday through Friday (excluding holidays) 7:30 am till 3:30 pm. The factory can be reached at 323.826.1600.

Sales & Promotions

We are committed to providing our customers with occasional offers and promotions and therefore will launch sales that target clients who have signed up to receive updates on our website or through other programs we may offer. Our online sale pricing, when available is only extended to orders placed online during the window of time specified. We cannot offer sale pricing before or after a sale has opened or closed. We encourage our customers to sign up to receive the information by providing their email address on our homepage.
